MEET THE TEAM
Giovana Rabello
Esteemed delegates, chairs, advisors and guests,
Welcome to the 2022 edition of the Youth Online Universal Model United Nations (YOUMUN). My name is Giovana Rabello, I am currently a senior at The British School of Rio de Janeiro, and I am beyond honoured to be serving as your Secretary-General. The significance of Model UN to my life is immeasurable: being first exposed to the activity at age 13, I would never had imagined it mould my identity for the better to this extent, allowing me to grow into a more empathetic human being and gifting me with friends and memories that I shall cherish forever. In 2021, aspiring to pay back all the good MUN has done for me, I founded YOUMUN with the central goal of staging youth protagonist and providing an egalitarian need-blind educational opportunity for high school students from all over the globe. The conference’s name “YOU” MUN was not only selected because it serves as an acronym for Youth Online Universal Model United Nations, but also because it appropriately echoes the conference's goal of making you believe in your capacity of bringing about positive change in the world, despite all the hardships you may encounter. This year’s edition promises a weekend of enticing debate, enlightening guest speakers, prolific workshops and much more! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]. I hope to see you all soon! |
Anna KissajikianEsteemed delegates, chairs, advisors and guests,
It's a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Anna Kissajikian and I am a junior at St. Paul’s school in São Paulo. I am beyond honored to be serving as the Chief Operation Officer for this edition of the Youth Online Universal Model United Nations. MUN has always been a safe space for me to express myself, make new friends, expand my worldview and my perspective of reality. When I joined YOUMUN as part of the leadership team last year, I was in absolute awe. I was never able to find a conference that embraced anyone and everyone with open arms, regardless of their country of origin, MUN level of experience and interests/goals. The moment I stepped into the first leadership team meeting to the committee “icebreakers” to the closing ceremony, I felt I had found a big MUN family. It is of upmost importance to me that this feeling of inclusivity and welcoming I felt last edition is felt through everyone taking part in this conference this edition. I look forward to meeting all of you this June! If you want to contact me, feel free to send me a message by email [email protected] See you all soon! |
Tamara Abou ZainabHi everyone!

Pleasure is what I can express for such a terrific experience from which I have grasped worldwide-discussed issues, smart means of resolving, and most importantly embedded in me a thinker, listener, and speaker. Alongside that, I enjoy playing the guitar, singing, playing basketball and acting. I hope this conference brings you nothing but self-development and great memories! See you soon. |

Learning and debating about current topics around the world, through MUN, has shown me that people can achieve a common ground to solve the most impacting issues surrounding our society. Whenever I am not doing homework, you can find me learning new languages, playing tennis, acting, dancing, and singing. So, by assuming the Deputy Press Corps Director position, I will do my best to make this such an interesting and fun conference. I am excited to meet all of you! Don’t hesitate to contact me through [email protected] if any doubts arise!

Hello everyone. My name is Alexandru Chesaru, but people call me Alex or Keseru. I am a sophomore at the SHAPE American High School in Belgium. I am thrilled to participate in this year’s edition of YOUMUN serving as a vice-chair. I have started MUN recently I might say, as I became a member in my early days as a high school student. I was immediately attracted by the solutions that WE can give to many issues. While I am not trying to fix world-wide issues, I listen to music, play a LOT of video games and play the most beautiful sport of Football. And yes, for the American folks, I mean European football, not American. I am excited to see all of you at the conference!

I am a freshman at the American School of Recife and I am beyond excited to be part of the leadership team at YOUMUN, as the vice-chair for the Bilderberg committee. I am relatively new to MUN. Hi! My name is Renata, I’m a freshman at the International School of Curitiba, Brazil, and I’m very excited to be serving as a vice-chair in the second edition of YOUMUN. Having started MUN as a sixth grader who was shipped off to São Paulo for my first conference, my obsession with poli sci. and international relations has since spraled out of control. From assassinations, to trials, to coup d’etats, in special committees delegates get to leave the typical UN setting and have to adapt to often strange circumstances, leading them to the most significant growth. I am so glad to be able to be a part of that experience for others at YOUMUN! When I’m not serving as a chair or delegate, I listen to a lot of music, lecture people about feminism, and endlessly browse posters on Mercado Livre. I look forward to seeing you in committee ;)
